Erin and John were friends in high school, and even had study hall together in 2007-8! They lost touch after graduating and were living in different parts of the country, but that all changed when the pandemic brought Erin back to upstate New York. In August 2021 John went to a Modest Mouse concert and posted a video of them performing “Float On” to his Instagram story, and Erin commented with a 🔥. Knowing she had just moved back to their hometown, John reached out and asked Erin on a date and they immediately hit it off. They bonded over Survivor, their love for live music & stand-up comedy, and of course their respective camps at Paradox Lake and Babcock Lake. After a little over 2 years creating countless memories on many trips across the country and abroad, John proposed to Erin on October 28, 2023 at her favorite place, Babcock lake. He programmed a drone to swoop down and film the proposal, and even arranged for her siblings to be in town for a surprise housewarming party afterward at their new apartment. It was a joy bringing our two families together for such a momentous day. Now we cannot wait to share and showcase Troy during our wedding weekend with all of you in October 2024!
